During Covid, we moved to Bay City, Michigan, by the Tobico Marsh area, which is not to far from the Bay City State Park. It has been such an experience to get up now every morning and see God’s glory in these sunrises. Our house faces east, and those mornings that I see the sun hitting the horizon seem like holy moments to me. The sunsets over the marsh are just as breathtaking.

In 2008, I had a melanoma diagnosis that lead me to study the Hebrew names for God, Jehovah Rophe, more specifically which describes God as Healer. It is a long story I may tell you in person one day, but this lead me to a love for the “living” Hebrew language. I am currently studying online with an Israeli teacher and it has been such an honor to learn the beautiful language that has a “holy Presence”. Every day it draws me into a deeper relationship with the One that made me and gives me life. I have had a lifelong love for Him, but living here has really deepened my walk of faith.
